On reading about the relationship implied in early Japanese pornography between ejaculation and certain blossoms, I have decided to create a garment inspired by this. I want something that draws parallels to the devil, given that THE WHORE OF BABYLON is in fact a symbolic part of him, so I'm happy to experiment with another kind of high waisted pant with an embellished crotch.
Ideally, it would have flowers protruding from the apparently open vagina.
There has been constant comparisons between genitalia and flowers, starting with Adam and Eve being clothed in vines. The relatively recent erotic flowers shot by Mapplethorpe also contribute to this FLOWER-LABIA dilema, and don't even get me started on the glorious Georgia O'Keefe.
I bought flesh coloured high waisted pants and attatched fake flowers to them with a glue gun. I tried to arrange them in a way that wouldn't be too uncomfortable for the model, I didn't want any painful grimaces to see their way into my pictures due to my own shoddy workmanship. But hey presto, it worked. HAPPY.
