I've started creating costume pieces for my Queen Elizabeth Madonna, including a ruff made out of paper and gauze sewn onto a fur stole. Whilst in life, these items seem quite low aesthetic, under the right lighting and in the right context, they'll look, if not authentic, then at least effective.
