I knew I wanted to have some images of the pregnant Madonna because it's not always something you necessarily think about. We stuffed the dress with fabric and got arranged in various different positions. There was a hillarious moment when our Blessed Virgin was sprawled on her back, legs in the air, skirt up round her hips, her face lost in the folds of her hood and the photo technician walked, grinned and left. It was a great day. I think I got a few good shots, but not many really spoke to me. This was shot after a lot of other stuff at the end of a long day, so maybe we were both starting to feel a little off.
